Hey hey hey - Anthony's work on the 24SF in February is looking truly awesome and here's a sneak peek for you:

I should have a close up to share by the end of the week.

There's also photo of new Brooklyn street piece done last month on the Paper Monster blog - featuring the same character - at http://www.papermonster.net/news.php

Anyone going to the New Image party on the weekend http://newimageartgallery.com/comingup.html? If so please take a camera as there should be some Lister goodness that never made it up in last years exhibition on display.

So here's the close-up - looks awesome to me and I'm digging the black backgrounds on some of these recent pieces. Turns out the character is a self portrait of Mr Lister throwing the MM gang sign - you can see the original photo inspiration in the White Trash Prophecy book - I'll dig it out and post it when I've got a sec. And if you know any more about the MM Gang it'd be great to hear....

Sounds like the FAILE residency had an impact on the colours of the new pieces which should be interesting. Personally I'm loving the MM Gang self-portraits most so far!

Cool - I've not seen the kgallery book though sounds great.

Fecal Face have swung by Anthony's temporary San Fran studio in the run up to the 24sf show and have posted a report including a load of photos at

Looking good though seems like that Chopper & Mr Lister piece I posted a photo of a few days ago is pretty small in the flesh! Looking forward to the reports of the show coming through....

Report of the Fifty24 opening can be found at the link below - it includes some photos of other pieces and the block of small paintings on wood based on photos from the White Trash book. Sounds like there was also taped and gagged superhero trying to escape at the opening as well - rad! Interestingly no super heros on the walls though...

I was wondering about the lack of superhero pieces at the 24SF show and it turns out Anthony's has recently working on some paintings inspired by the live superhero performances at his recent shows......
